Temple and Monks

Last night, i dreamt i was with a toddler (boy of about 1 or 2 years old) with me the whole time. I was taking care of him as if he's my son.

We went to temple one day. So many beautiful and shiny Buddha statues. Monks were praying outside the temple. I was taking photos the whole time while i was in the temple.

When i was still dreaming, i woke up a little because i felt a presence in my bedroom. I knew i wasnt dreaming. There's a person walking at the foot of my bed towards my side of the bed. I didnt feel afraid. When i opened my eyes in the middle of the night, i couldnt see anything. So i went back to sleep and the dream continues..

This is strange but the presence i felt feels like a guy in robes...could it be a monk? What's the dream trying to tell me?

Small Red Bird Landed on my Shoulder

Last night I had a beautiful dream. I was sitting on my couch in front of my door, looking outside. I saw a dog chasing a small red bird. I couldn't tell what kind of bird it is because I know nothing about birds and their specific names...but I googled for small red bird images and it looks very close to these photos.

The colour of the bird in my dream is vibrant red and when it is shaking its tail, you can almost see florescent red! It is very beautiful, I think one of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen.

Anyway, the dog was chasing the bird up to my house entrance, and the red bird flew into my house through the door and landed on my right shoulder! The grip was pretty strong and I could see that it's about 10cm only. I remember being excited because this is the first time it ever happened.

The bird seems to be comfortable and safe around me. Whenever I went, it was on my shoulder and sometimes flew around for a bit and came back to me. Outside my house, I saw a few other birds like this one, except different colours but they all have "shiny"?, rainbow-coloured tails (the colour only shows when they shake their tails).

One time, the red bird was flying to the ground before I left the place, I whistled twice. It then flew and landed on my finger...the red bird and I were like good friends.

I couldn't remember the dream after that but all I know is that dream is so peaceful and happy. I woke up smiling to myself.

I found the Bird Dream Interpretation on http://dreamfortunetelling.com/animal-did-you-see-any-animals/bird/#comment-452

"Dream of birds symbolizes freedom, ideal or benefits. It basically is a good luck, and if you see birds flying around cheerfully, it indicates that your inspiration or creativity is becoming fertile. You should write down your ideas in order to make things turn out well. Also if you catch a bird in your dream it is a sign that you'll be able to get what you wanted. There might be a happy event especially in love or in money matter"

Hmm....what could this mean??

Last Night I Dreamt of my Grandma

Last night I dreamt I was in grandma's house. There were a lot of people, like there was a gathering.

When I walked past the living room, grandma came out from her room. I was really happy to see her and I hugged her so tightly. She smiled at me and she said if possible, she wants me to go back to Kuching during Chinese New Year!

***

I had many dreams of my grandparents since they passed away. I dreamt of them talking to me, we laughed together, they showed me their place etc...it feels so real, like they were really with me. It doesn't feel like a dream at all and I remember very clearly what is in the dream until today. Maybe I missed them so much until I kept having these dreams.

I had one particular dream which I remembered though - and it was two weeks before my grandfather passed away in year 2001.

Exactly two weeks before my grandfather passed away, something very weird happened to me. That night, I was brushing my teeth downstairs, next to my computer room. When I was about to spit the water out of my mouth ( I was tilting my head down at the sink), suddenly from the corner of eyes, I saw somebody with a white skirt and pale looking feet walking towards the computer room. I couldn't see the whole thing - just from the knee down. Immediately, I spat the water out and walked to the computer room - and saw nobody there! I was very sure I saw something but I ignored what happened and just went to sleep.

Then, I had a very weird dream. I was in line (or wandering around) queuing up to cross a bridge (not wooden bridge, but brick and it is huge). There were some guards to make sure everybody crosses the bridge. After a while, a lady jumped down from the bridge and everybody rushed to have a look. I was already nervous by then and I started to run away.

The guards started to chase after me. I ran as fast as I could and suddenly out of nowhere, I started flying. At that moment, I was not surprised that I could fly. I just knew I had to get away from the guards. I flew around for quite a while. Then, in the middle of the woods, I saw a Pagoda surrounded by bamboo.

I quickly flew in and the next thing I knew, I was floating in a dark room in front of two guys. One of them wore a traditional chinese costume. I do not know how to describe the costume. I tried to google it and the closest I found is this.

He doesn't have a long beard like this one, but he sure looked fierce. Another guy standing next to him is an old man, seems to be his advisor. They were speaking in language I do not understand. It was blurry to me. After a while, the old man came closer to me and said "Two days for you"....I woke up.

That whole day, everything around me looks gloomy...the sky looks darker than usual. People moved around slower, I thought. I had a very strong feeling that my time is up. I started saying stupid things to people around me, things like asking them to take care of themselves etc.

On the second day, the feeling got worse. I started telling my good friend about the dream. She must have thought that I've gone mad! I also told my sister, who at that time thinks that I am talking nonsense. She somehow persuaded me to talk to my parents about it. So, I told. That night before I went to sleep, I was so nervous I will not wake up anymore, my two days are up. Somehow, I cried myself to sleep.

Next day, I am still breathing  -_-   the sky is brighter again and things went back to normal!! So I felt stupid for feeling like that and also embarrassed for telling the people around me.

Just after two weeks, my grandfather passed away....and also I realized out few days later that my grandfather shared the same birthday with me. My mum also told me that one day in the "other" world is equivalent to our 7 days.....

I still don't know whether I can believe this...I also will never know whether the dream is related to my grandfather's death.

8th Oct 2009: I Dreamt of

Two nights ago, I had a very weird and scary dream. I dreamt that I was shopping with my husband at this place, which looks like a deserted shoplot. There were many chinese restaurants, stalls, minimarket etc.

When we were walking into a small alley, the wind suddenly grew stronger. There was rotten or dead animal smell. Suddenly, right in front of us, we saw three dead bodies hanging from the ground floor roof of a chinese shop - a woman in her mid-40s (white blouse), a guy probably around his 30s and another teenage girl.

The three bodies were swaying furiously due to the strong wind. It was spooky and I got the chills.

Weird thing is that in my dream, I recognize them and I felt like I've been to their shop many times for lunch or something.
